Pueblo, Colo., is the top-paying metropolitan area in the U.S. for mental, behavioral health and substance use counselors, according to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics collected data from employers in all industry sectors, all metropolitan and nonmetropolitan areas, and every state plus the District of Columbia. The data was last updated April 6.

Here are the 10 top-paying metropolitan areas, along with their annual mean wage for mental, behavioral health and substance use counselors:

Boulder, Colo.: $87,030

San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, Calif.: $77,890

Anchorage, Ark.: $77,160

Logan, Utah-Idaho: $75,690

Salt Lake City, Utah: $75,310

San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, Calif.: $74,590

Santa Fe, N.M.: $74,020

Jonesboro, Ark.: $73,050

Fairbanks, Ala. $72,720

Modesto, Calif.: $72,680
