10 least expensive states for therapy

Idaho has the lowest therapy session fees of any state, on average, according to a study by behavioral health site Zencare.

Wyoming comes in second, and five of the 10 least expensive are in the Western U.S. Seven states have average fees of $200 or higher per session, and only five have fees of $150 or lower.

The 10 least expensive states by average therapy session fee:

  3. Oregon – $145.30
  4. North Carolina – $149
  5. Montana – $150
  6. Indiana – $152.50
  7. Louisiana – $155
  8. Texas – $159
  9. Rhode Island – $161
  10. Colorado – $163.20
