The study examined survey responses from over 40,000 workers and found that for most well-being programs, employees who participated did not report better mental health than those who did not.
The study found employees who were involved with volunteer work supported by their workplaces were more likely to report better well-being than those who did not. Other wellness offerings, such as mental health apps or time management and financial courses, had no effect on well-being.
Trainings on resilience and stress management had a negative effect on well-being, the study found.
