The state of Washington launched its Washington Thriving Strategic Plan, a multiyear road map designed to reform behavioral health services for children, adolescents and young adults.
The plan aims to improve access to mental healthcare for individuals from before birth through age 25 in the state, according to a Nov. 13 news release. The strategy outlines actions to strengthen system infrastructure, expand offerings and implement people-centered practices.
The plan’s initial action targets areas including perinatal well-being, K-12 student behavioral health and treatment services.
