The publication issued its annual ranking of the best and worst states for mental healthcare May 3.
Forbes Advisor scored states’ mental healthcare on seven metrics, including the share of adults with a mental illness who do not receive treatment and the share of adults with a mental illness who do not receive adequate treatment.
The ranking includes the percentage of adults struggling with mental health who could not see a doctor due to cost, the percentage of adults with mental illness who are uninsured, and other metrics.
