The Farm Family Resource Initiative aims to improve the mental health of rural farmers and agricultural communities by providing access to virtual mental health appointments and a telehealth helpline.
It began as a pilot program in six counties, and it will now expand to cover all 102 counties. Additionally, the expansion will include six free telehealth sessions among family members, according to the report.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
