Malone, N.Y.-based community healthcare provider Citizen Advocates used $5 million over nine months to create the urgent care center, which will provide mental health and addiction treatment services around the clock with no referrals or appointments necessary, according to the news station.
The center will treat patients of all ages, with multiple-day care options available to children who need it, according to WWNY. The location is Citizen Advocates’ largest urgent care center since launching the care model in 2017.
The group said its urgent care centers have reduced unnecessary emergency room visits in communities they treat. The clinic opened April 21.
