Maine hospital gifted $500K for behavioral health expansion

Bangor, Maine-based Northern Light Acadia Hospital has received $500,000 to expand its behavioral health services, Bangor Daily News reported April 4.

The funds will go toward a new pediatric inpatient wing; the renovation of current spaces, providing private, single-occupancy rooms for all patients; expanded access to outpatient geriatric services; youth programs; and increased support of Acadia’s workforce through training and scholarships.

The donation came from the Cornelia Cogswell Rossi Foundation.
