The data dashboard on transfers at the Division I and II level was developed in response to calls from membership for more transparency surrounding transfer data to help student-athletes make more informed decisions, according to a Feb. 21 report from the NCAA.

The report also pulled from the Student-Athlete Well-Being Study, which surveyed student-athletes who believed they were likely to transfer within the next year.

According to the study, the two top reasons women’s sports athletes cited for transferring were mental health, with 61 percent of those polled listing it, and conflict with teammates and coaches. Meanwhile, 40 percent of men’s sports athletes cited mental health as the top reason, followed by playing time and participation opportunities.
