Indianapolis-based Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center was approved by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction to assume community mental health center responsibilities in Warren and Lawrence townships currently held by Community Fairbanks Behavioral Health.
The expansion of Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center’s community mental health center catchment area is expected to be finalized before the end of the year, according to a June 9 news release. The organization is working with Community Fairbanks Behavioral Health on the transition.
Once finalized, Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center will become the designated community mental health center for four of Marion County’s nine townships: Center, Lawrence, Wayne and Warren.
The organization currently operates nine outpatient sites and residential facilities. It said the expansion will result in additional hiring and new locations to serve patients in Warren and Lawrence townships.
