Google, Boeing among companies pledging to end mental health stigma

Eleven companies are joining the National Alliance on Mental Illness' first stigma-free workforce council.

The council will meet throughout the next year to discuss the current mental health needs of the workforce and what employers can do to better support their employees, according to a Nov. 27 news release.

"Work isn't just about how we make a living — it's where we find purpose and meaning, build community and develop as whole people. Mental health is critical to achieving all of these," NAMI CEO Daniel Gillison Jr. said in the release. "That's why successful companies and organizations recognize the importance of supporting their employees' mental health and wellness."

The companies participating include:

  • Adobe
  • Bank of America
  • Boeing
  • Creative Artists Agency
  • Calm
  • Google
  • Hostess
  • Kohl's
  • Miraval
  • OLLY
