The grant funding will go to community organizations in seven counties, according to a Nov. 11 news release from California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The funding will also support expanded telehealth services for veterans, including 100,000 free mental health appointments for veterans.
The state also received a $300,000 grant to expand telehealth services for Native American veterans, according to the release.
