The programs are run by “peer coaches” – trained mental health providers who use their lived experience to connect with their clients. The county has a variety of these programs already in place, including with Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing, Inc.
The new peer coaching program is the eight-week Revive to Thrive program, which is aimed at young adults aged 18-25 and will be hosted on the Beautiful Minds Wellness campus in Auburn.
