West Virginia's Bureau for Behavioral Health names new commissioner

Dawn Cottingham-Frohna has been named commissioner of West Virginia's Department of Health and Human Resources' Bureau for Behavioral Health, effective immediately. 

Ms. Cottingham-Frohna was previously interim COO and director of business development for Middleton, Wis.-based Miramont Behavioral Health, according to a March 27 news release from the state's DHHR. 

Prior to Miramont, she acted as manager of the outpatient psychiatry department for Madison, Wis.-based SSM Health Dean Medical Group. She was also the director of care management of the hospitalist program for Prairie Du Sac, Wis.-based Sauk Prairie Healthcare. 

Ms. Cottingham-Frohna succeeds Christina Mullins as commissioner. Ms. Mullins is now the state DHHR's deputy secretary of mental health and substance use disorders.
