Pennsylvania is expanding its Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative program in Indiana County to include behavioral health and mental health services.

The update makes the county the sixth in the state to incorporate behavioral and mental health services into the LETI program, according to a March 30 media advisory from Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday.

The initiative currently connects individuals experiencing substance use disorders with treatment options through law enforcement agencies, county officials and community partners. The program also provides data to inform medical professionals and law enforcement on how to support patients, the advisory said.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
