The bill will permit all law enforcement agencies in the state to create their own wellness programs. All sessions and information discussed in these programs or in counseling sessions will be strictly confidential.
The programs will offer early intervention systems, access to mental health counseling, crisis counseling, support systems, training, equipment and technology to help support law enforcement, according to the legislation.
