“Mental health parity laws have been shown to reduce suicide rates by as much as five percent,” Robert Gebbia, CEO of the foundation, said in a July 26 press release from AFSP.
AFSP claims the proposed rule will help advance their vision to advance health equity, prevent suicide and expand healthcare accessibility, according to the release.
