Yale New Haven Hospital names vice chief of psychiatry, behavioral health

Yale New Haven (Conn.) Hospital named Hun Millard, MD, vice chief of psychiatry and behavioral health.

Dr. Millard will also serve as deputy chair of psychiatry for Yale New Haven Health System and medical director of Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, according to a July 5 news release. 

Dr. Millard has served as the hospital’s interim vice chief of psychiatry since 2023. Her predecessor in the role, Frank Fortunati, MD, died in March 2023 after a battle with cancer. 

According to the news release, Dr. Millard is the first woman to serve as vice chief of psychiatry at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Millard is also an associate professor of psychiatry at Yale University Medical Center.
