Tanmay Mathur has been named vice president of Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital.
Mr. Mathur begins the role on July 15, succeeding president Mary Pawlikowski, who is retiring this summer, according to a June 24 news release.
As vice president, Mr. Mathur will play an instrumental role in the development and implementation of long-term strategies, prepare operating and capital expenditure budgets, and perform personnel administration functions specific to the hospital, according to the release.
Mr. Mathur joins the hospital from Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare, where he served as CEO of Covington (La.) Behavioral Health, according to the release. He also previously served as the CEO of Acadia's Riverwoods Behavioral Health System in Riverdale, Ga. Prior to his roles with Acadia, he was the senior manager of corporate strategy at WellCare Health Plans and manager of corporate strategy at Humana.
