Franklin, Tenn.-based Summit BHC has named Chuck Steiner its new chief strategy officer.
Mr. Steiner previously served as senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions and development for Shields Healthcare Solutions, where he led mergers and acquisitions and hospital system joint venture initiatives, according to a March 13 news release. Walgreens Boots Alliance acquired Shields Healthcare in late 2022.
Prior to Shields, he was the vice president of M&A at Joliet, Ill.-based Amsurg, the ambulatory care division of Envision Healthcare, where he led physician practice development initiatives.

He will work with the executive team to help accelerate Summit's growth and achieve our strategic goal," Brent Turner, CEO of Summit, said in the release. "We are excited to have him on board as we continue to grow our footprint and expand our services in the communities we serve."
