Philadelphia LGBTQ center names behavioral health services leader

Stacey Trooskin, MD, PhD, has been named executive medical officer of the Mazzoni Center, a health and wellness center serving Philadelphia’s LGBTQ community.

As executive medical officer, Dr. Trooskin will oversee the center’s behavioral health services, in addition to other programs such as primary medical care; HIV and STD prevention, testing and treatment; and gender-affirming care, according to an Aug. 1 news release.

Dr. Trooskin most recently served as chief medical officer for Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers from 2020 to early 2023. An internist with a specialty in infectious diseases, she has also served as an executive medical consultant for the Mazzoni Center since March.
