Nebraska system taps leader of behavioral health, neuroscience center

Tim Nelson, PhD, will become director of the Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, effective Jan. 5. 

Dr. Nelson joined the university’s faculty in 2009, according to a news release. His research interests include pediatric health neuroscience, with a focus on how the brain, behavior and environment collectively affect child and adolescent health and development. 

Since 2020, Dr. Nelson has served as associate director of the Rural Drug Addiction Research Center. He was also associate director of the university’s Clinical Psychology Training Program for 13 years.
