The National Association for Behavioral Healthcare named Scott Dziengelski president and CEO.
Mr. Dziengelski most recently served as a consultant with the FDA and Life Sciences team and advocated before Congress and federal agencies like HHS and CMS for legislative and regulatory changes, according to an April 13 association news release. He also serves as an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute in New York City, where he examines policies and regulations in mental health and substance use disorders; and he served as the association’s director of policy and regulatory affairs between May 2017 and January 2020.
“Scott’s extensive policy expertise, leadership experience and longstanding commitment to behavioral healthcare make him uniquely qualified to lead NABH at this critical time,” NABH Interim President and CEO Mark Covall, who also serves on the association’s Board of Trustees, said in the release. “We are thrilled to welcome him back to the association and look forward to his leadership in advancing our priorities.”
