Portland, Maine-based MainHealth Behavioral Health has named Benjamin Grasso, MD, as regional medical director.
Dr. Grasso will lead outpatient psychiatry services in York County and provide clinical oversight for behavioral health programs throughout the area, according to a Jan. 8 news release shared with Becker’s. He brings more than 30 years of experience in psychiatry across clinical, academic and leadership roles.
Before joining MaineHealth, Dr. Grasso worked as a staff psychiatrist at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham. His previous leadership posts include Augusta, Maine-based Riverview Psychiatric Center, Portland, Maine-based Mercy Hospital and Augusta (Maine) Mental Health Institute.
He has also served as a consulting medical director for The Opportunity Alliance since 2013, according to the release.
