Frisco, Texas-based Magellan Health has appointed Caroline Carney, MD, as CEO.
Dr. Carney has held several leadership roles since joining Magellan Health in 2016. She became chief medical officer in 2020 and was named president of the organization’s behavioral health business in 2022.
An internist and psychiatrist, Dr. Carney has written or co-written more than 100 peer- and non-peer-reviewed publications, with a focus on comorbid physical and mental health conditions. Before joining Magellan, Dr. Carney served as medical director for the Indiana Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning.
