LifePoint names CEO for joint venture behavioral hospital

Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health and Lifepoint Behavioral Health, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health, named Roy Sasenaraine CEO for a new 150-bed joint venture behavioral health hospital.

Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital is slated to open in August, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. The Holyoke, Mass.-based joint venture will include 120 semi-private rooms and 30 private rooms and is expected to boost patient access to Baystate Health’s inpatient behavioral care by more than 50 percent.

Most recently, Mr. Sasenaraine most recently served as Stamford, Conn.-based Spire Orthopedic Partners’ vice president of operations for the central region, according to the news release. Before that, he was vice president of operations for Hartford (Conn.) Healthcare’s East Region behavioral health network.
