Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare has named retired Tenet Healthcare CFO Daniel Cancelmi to its board of directors.
Mr. Cancelmi joins the board effective immediately, according to a March 12 Acadia news release. He retired from Dallas-based Tenet at the end of 2023 after more than a three-decade career with the for-profit system. He was named CFO in 2012.
“Acadia remains focused on executing its strategy to spur disciplined growth by expanding access to essential, evidence-based behavioral healthcare, improving clinical outcomes and driving operational efficiency across its national network,” Acadia Board Chairman Reeve Waud said in the release. “Dan’s perspective will be critical as we continue advancing our priorities with a focus on driving value creation for all shareholders.”
Acadia also announced that director Wade Miquelon will not stand for reelection at the 2026 annual meeting.
As of Dec. 31, Acadia operated 277 behavioral healthcare facilities across 40 states and Puerto Rico.
