Cincinnati Children’s has appointed Suzanne Sampang, MD, director of the division of child and adolescent psychiatry.
The division is one of three within the Mental and Behavioral Health Institute, according to an April 22 news release from the health system. Dr. Sampang was also named the inaugural recipient of the Michael Sorter, MD Endowed Chair of Psychiatry.
She has served as interim division director since September 2024. Dr. Sampang also served as senior medical director for the division and medical co-director of adolescent inpatient psychiatry, bringing more than 20 years of clinical, education and leadership experience to this role.
Dr. Sampang succeeds Dr. Sorter, who stepped down in 2024 and died in February 2025, according to the release.
