New York City-based Child Mind Institute appointed Vera Feuer, MD, its inaugural chief clinical officer.

Dr. Feuer will oversee patient care across the organization’s New York City and San Francisco Bay Area locations, bringing more than two decades of experience as a child and adult psychiatrist, with a focus on evaluating and treating child and adolescent conditions. Her clinical background includes pediatric mental health, emergency care and crisis stabilization.

She has led the development of care delivery approaches such as pediatric behavioral urgent care services and programs that link primary care providers, schools and mental health professionals to support youths.

In the role, Dr. Feuer will work to expand evidence-based care and improve coordination across psychiatry, psychology and research.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
