Bryony Winn, president of Carelon Health, a subsidiary of Elevance, announced Ms. Petro’s hiring in a Nov. 18 post on LinkedIn.

“Corbin’s career has been a testament to improving health for vulnerable populations across entities large and small,” Ms. Winn wrote. “She has served as COO for a state Medicaid program; founded and was CEO of two companies; led a statewide health plan, and more – always driven by a truly mission-driven mindset.”

Ms. Petro served as founder and CEO of Eleanor Health, an outpatient addiction treatment company, from 2019 to 2023. The company raised more than $100 million in funding during her tenure, according to her LinkedIn profile.
