Care New England names women’s behavioral health leader

Zobeida Diaz, MD, has been named division director of women’s behavioral health at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, R.I. 

Dr. Diaz has played a key role in Women & Infants’ mother-baby partial hospitalization program, and the hospitals’ peripartum psychiatric care program, according to a March 11 news release shared with Becker’s. 

Dr. Diaz joined Care New England in 2017, according to her LinkedIn profile. 

Women & Infants Hospital is part of Providence-based Care New England. The hospital operates the Center for Women’s Behavioral Health, which operates inpatient and outpatient programs, with several designed for perinatal patients.
