BCBS Minnesota names VP of behavioral health and mental health parity

Brett Hart, PhD, has joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as vice president of behavioral health and mental health parity.

Dr. Hart joins Blue Cross from Centene, where he served in a variety of behavioral health leadership roles, according to a Nov. 1 news release. These roles include chief behavioral health officer and president and CEO of Centene subsidiary Cenpatico Behavioral Health.

Dr. Hart holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and has served as a medical psychologist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. In his new role, he will lead initiatives to optimize Blue Cross’ behavioral and mental health services, focusing on health equity and mental health parity.
