U of Kansas receives $2.5M grant to expand pediatric behavioral health curriculum

The University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita has received a $2.5 million grant to develop a pediatric behavioral health program for residents, according to a Feb. 23 report from KWCH.

The grant was given by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and will be used to innovate the pediatrics curriculum to better address mental health needs, the report said. 

The new project, which will also include a 30-day clinical rotation focused on treating pediatric patients with mental and behavioral health needs, aims to launch in early 2024.
