The grant was given by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and will be used to innovate the pediatrics curriculum to better address mental health needs, the report said.

The new project, which will also include a 30-day clinical rotation focused on treating pediatric patients with mental and behavioral health needs, aims to launch in early 2024.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
