Franklin, Tenn.-based Summit Behavioral Healthcare is investing $4.5 million to expand its headquarters.
The move was announced by the Department of Economic and Community Development, according to a Nov. 16 news release. The expansion is expected to bring 125 new jobs in Williamson County over the next five years.
Summit operates 35 inpatient facilities across the country specializing in connecting adults, adolescents and families with mental health and addiction treatment services. Upon completion of its expansion, Summit estimated it will employ more than 450 Tennesseans, the release said.
"Summit BHC has had the pleasure of being headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, for more than 10 years," Summit CEO Brent Turner said in the release. Thanks to the incredible dedication of our 3,600 employees, we are excited to expand our team in Williamson County to better support our growth and the provision of much-needed behavioral healthcare and substance use disorder treatment at our facilities across the United States."
