Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health will expand its integrated pediatric behavioral health services.

The Marsh McLennan Agency, a full service insurance company, will provide $1 million to the system over 10 years. The partnership will allow Sanford Children’s Hospital to add full-time therapists and social workers to its behavioral health team.

Sanford will also use the funding to expand training programs for whole-person care and create dedicated spaces for children with behavioral health needs.

The funding will also go toward behavioral health screenings for every patient admitted to Sanford Children’s Hospital.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
