The grant is through the Community-Based Organization Behavioral Health Workforce Grant Program, according to an April 12 news release from the health system. The funding will offer student loan repayments for behavioral health providers who have been with SAC Health for five or more years.

The grant will also be used for provider recruitment and stipends for clinical master’s and doctoral education students.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place October 20–22 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
