Acadia Healthcare has closed the acquisition of Turning Point Centers, a substance use and mental health treatment provider in Salt Lake City. 

Commissioners in Clark County in Nevada have approved the purchase of a 17,000-square-foot medical office and behavioral health facility, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Feb. 20.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare purchased $9 million worth of land in St. Johns, Fla., with plans to build a 144-bed hospital, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported Feb. 13. 

Healthcare analysts and CEOs are turning attention to behavioral health for investments in 2024, the Nashville Business Journal reported Feb. 9. 

Mergers and acquisitions in the behavioral health field are expected to increase in 2024 after just 31 deals were completed in the final quarter of 2023, according to Mertz Taggart's "Q4 2023 Behavioral Health M&A Report."
