Plano, Texas-based Oceans Healthcare plans to open a 66-bed behavioral hospital in Lacombe, La., in 2027 through a collaboration with New Orleans-based Ochsner Health and other regional providers.
The facility, Oceans Behavioral Hospital-Northshore, will be located within the Ochsner Northshore Medical Complex, providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adults, according to a news release Oceans Healthcare.
The partnership aims to strengthen a coordinated approach to care in the region as demand for behavioral health services grows, Alisha Lacour, MD, CEO of Northshore and Mississippi Gulf Coast region for Ochsner Health, said in the release.
Oceans Healthcare operates 48 facilities across nine states. Ochsner Health has 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers, with more than 40,000 employees and 5,000 employed and affiliated physicians, according to the release.
