New Hampshire, SolutionHealth partner on $60M mental health hospital

The state of New Hampshire and Bedford, N.H.-based SolutionHealth will build a new $60 million mental health hospital, The New Hampshire Union Leader reported March 20.

The facility will have 125 beds and will be operated by SolutionHealth for at least 10 years. It will have to have a minimum occupancy of 70 percent in the first two years and a minimum of 80 percent for the remaining eight years. If the occupancy rate is not met, SolutionHealth would have to operate the facility for an additional 10 years.

The state is planning to ask its Executive Council for final approval. The facility will be partly funded using $15 million from American Rescue Plan Act funding.

The hospital is slated to open in 2024.
