Michigan hospitals get $50M for pediatric behavioral health, other projects

Three Michigan hospitals will get $50 million from the DeVos family foundation for behavioral health and other care for children, MLive reported Feb. 19.

Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids will get $40 million from the foundation to fund a new 12-bed inpatient medical psychiatric unit, and a pediatric intensive care unit. 

Grand Rapids based-Pine Rest Children’s Mental Health will receive $5 million. The donation will go toward a 66-bed expansion at its Gaines Township, Mich. facility.
