State College, Pa.-based Strawberry Fields provides care to individuals’ intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism or serious and persistent mental health challenges, according to a Feb. 19 news release.

Cindy Pasquinelli, Strawberry Fields’ CEO, will continue to lead the organization after it joins Devereux. The acquisition is effective Feb. 18 and subject to regulatory approvals, according to the release.

The acquisition supports Devereux’s expansion plans into community-based supports, and specialty mental health and education services, according to the release. Strawberry Fields’ early intervention and Fairweather Lodge, a supportive group-housing program, are growth opportunities for Devereux.

Devereux employs more than 6,500 staff across 12 states. The company provides care for children and adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and mental health needs.
