Cleveland Clinic and Select Medical held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital, Fairhill — the organization’s fourth jointly operated rehabilitation hospital.
The 32-bed, all-private-room facility is located within the Select Specialty Hospital in Cleveland and will begin admitting patients later this month, according to an Oct. 10 news release.
The hospital will offer specialized rehabilitation services for patients with complex injuries and illnesses. Care will be delivered through an individualized approach that includes medical oversight, advanced therapies and rehabilitation technologies designed to improve mobility, cognition and self-care skills.
A physiatrist will lead the multidisciplinary team, which includes rehabilitation nurses, therapists, speech pathologists, pharmacists, case managers and other specialists, according to the news release.
The Fairhill location joins existing Cleveland Clinic rehabilitation hospitals in Avon, Beachwood and Edwin Shaw in Bath Township, Ohio. It is part of Select Medical’s national network of more than 30 medical rehabilitation hospitals.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place October 20–22 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
