Executives from Nashville, Tenn.-based Centerstone and Springfield, Mo.-based Brightli are scheduled to sign a master transaction agreement Sept. 9 in Springfield, formalizing the merger of the two nonprofit behavioral healthcare organizations.
The combined organization will adopt the Centerstone name and become the largest nonprofit behavioral healthcare provider in the U.S., according to a Sept. 8 Centerstone news release shared with Becker’s. The new organization is expected to generate annual revenue exceeding $1 billion.
Following the merger, David Guth Jr., CEO of Centerstone, will lead the unified organization. C.J. Davis, PsyD, CEO of Brightli, will be CEO-elect and succeed Mr. Guth as CEO in January 2027. Mr. Guth will become CEO emeritus and retire later in 2027.
