The partnership will allow AHN and RHS to send and receive secure electronic referrals, address social needs and improve health across communities, according to a March 23 news release.

AHN and RHS are together made up of 47 behavioral health organizations in New York City and Long Island, N.Y.

“The collaborative relationship between AHN/RHS IPAs’ behavioral health provider network and Unite Us’ community-based network will combine access to behavioral health and social services while coordinating communication among providers,” Carol Cassell, executive director at AHN/RHS, said in the release. “This partnership in New York City and Long Island will connect people to much needed resources and services, such as assistance with housing, food insecurity, vocational and behavioral health.”

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
