$77M+ in behavioral health investments and transactions: 9 updates in 9 days

Here are nine behavioral health investment and transaction updates Becker's has reported on since March 2.

  1. Private equity firm Gauge Capital has engaged in a strategic investment with Streamline Healthcare Solutions, an electronic health records software developer primarily serving behavioral health providers.

  2. Cigna has added behavioral healthcare company ReKlame Health to its network for patients in New York, New Jersey and Florida.

  3. Insurer CareOregon has purchased the Red Lion Inn & Suites in Seaside, Ore., to develop housing for healthcare workers and Oregon Health Plan patients with behavioral health needs.

  4. The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services has funded four crisis stabilization units and walk-in centers with $35 million through the American Rescue Plan Act.

  5. Wave Life, a mental health platform catering to Generation Z, raised $6 million in a seed investment round led by Santé Ventures.

  6. South Carolina's department of health and human services has created a new $35 million crisis stabilization service grant program.

  7. Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers and the state Department of Health Services awarded $1 million in grants across 10 organizations to address mental health disparities across the state.

  8. Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Behavioral Health and Lynchburg, Va.-based Centra Health entered a joint venture to open a new inpatient behavioral health hospital. 

  9. Marietta, Ohio-based Life & Purpose Behavioral Health joined Athens, Ohio-based Hopewell Health Centers.
