Virtual and in-person behavioral health providers raised hundreds of millions in funding this year.
Here are 16 startups that brought in funding rounds greater than $10 million in 2024:
- Seven Starling, a virtual women's behavioral health provider, raised $10.9 million in series A funding, the company said in November.
- BeMe, a digital behavioral health provider focused on teen mental health, closed a $12 million series A funding round in August.
- Spring Health raised $100 million in series E funding in July. The mental health startup is valued at $3.3 billion, it said in a July news release. The company contracts with employers and health plans to provide behavioral care.
- Headway, a startup that connects patients to therapists, closed a $100 million funding round, according to a report in Bloomberg in July. The company is valued at $2.3 billion, according to Bloomberg.
- Marigold Health closed $11 million in series A funding round in May. The peer support program combines one-on-one coaching with text-based support groups in the company's app.
- Grow Therapy raised $75 million in series B funding, the company said in May. The company will use the funding to expand to every state and add Medicare and Medicaid coverage. The platform connects therapists to clients and insurers.
- Backpack Healthcare raised $14 million in series A funding. The online pediatric mental healthcare provider closed the funding round in May.
- Amae Health brought in $15 million in series A funding. The company provides value-based care for severe mental illness. The funding round closed in April.
- Two Chairs raised $72 million in series C funding, the company said in April. Two Chairs provides in-person and virtual therapy in California, Florida and Washington.
- Tava Health raised $20 million in series B funding in March. The company provides digital mental health platforms to employers.
- Pelago, a digital substance use treatment platform, raised $58 million in series C funding, the company said in March.
- Brightside Health raised $33 million in series C funding to expand to new markets. The telemental health provider closed the funding round in March.
- InStride Health, an outpatient pediatric mental health provider, closed a $30 million Series B funding round in March. The company specializes in anxiety and OCD treatment.
- Headlight received $18 million in funding in February. The behavioral health provider appointed Geoff Swindle, former chief business officer of Amazon Pharmacy, as CEO.
- Blackbird Health raised $17 million in series A funding, the pediatric mental health provider said in February.
- Vita Health, a startup providing care management for suicide prevention, raised $22.5 million in series A funding, the company said in January. Vita Health's backers include CVS Health Ventures.
