White House launches call to action on opioid overdose reversal medications

The Biden-Harris administration has announced a call to action focused on addressing the opioid crisis.

The White House's "Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose" calls on stakeholders to expand training on and access to opioid overdose reversal medications like naloxone, according to a March 13 news release.

The call to action is asking businesses across the country, both public and private, to offer employees training on the use of opioid overdose reversal medications, as well as to keep the medications in first-aid kits. The administration is also encouraging the distribution of  reversal medications to employees and customers.
