The drug and alcohol treatment center was scheduled to open on Aug. 14. However, a 22-year-old man crashed into three cars and went about four feet into the center’s waiting room on Aug. 13 around 2:06 a.m.
The driver left the scene on foot and was allegedly “impaired” but uninjured. He has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and speeding, according to the report.
In the meantime, Pathway to Recovery will offer telehealth appointments while staff members search for a temporary physical location. Once the center can reopen, it will offer individual and group therapy counseling tailored to each patient’s needs, according to the report.
