Drug overdose deaths have been on the rise among adolescents across the U.S. since 2018, according to survey data published Feb. 6 by KFF.
The data found that Black and Hispanic adolescents have experienced the fastest increase in drug overdose deaths between 2018 and 2022, although white adolescents continue to hold the largest share of drug overdose deaths among their age group.
